Hi! My name is Turbo and I am patiently waiting for my "forever home". Given the chance, I WILL steal your heart! When I was 1st rescued, I was scared and very timid of strangers. I wasn't treated very well in my previous home. With love and patience, my foster family has showed me what it is like to be in a loving home. I have since come out of my shell and my personality is jumping out. I am a lil guy about 42 lbs but the vet would like me to put on a lb or two. I like treats and take them with a gentle mouth so that will not a problem.
. I am a laid back kinda guy for being part Pointer-that is until my nose kicks in-then the Beagle in me comes out and I like the challenge of chasing down the scent. The Lab in me keeps me mellow most of the time. I do not care for water but tolerate baths OK at the groomers.
I am not perfect but pretty close. My faults are as follows....[but please do not hold these against me, after all, I am a dog.....]
- I am crate trained but prefer not to be. I haven't had to use one for several wks. now as my foster mom is training me to free roam. I am doing great, so I've been told!!
- I do like a pr. of my foster mom's leather sandals but leave all else alone.
- I love walks but still need help with leash walking. I do great in the yard but new environments get my nose crazy with excitement!
- Cats are OK as long as they DON'T MOVE, then the chase is on!!!
- I am a door darter. Be sure to hook me up 1st BEFORE opening any door that does not lead to a fenced area or you WILL get some exercise. Just warning you!!
Now on to the good stuff!! There is a lot so sit back, take a seat and get comfortable. I will impress you!!
I like to play with my foster sister. We mostly play chase and wrestle. I do not play ball but like to chew on soft cloth filled toys. After chasing around outside, I like to explore on my own and sniff stuff...who am I kidding...I sniff EVERYTHING!! Chasing down big grasshoppers and lil lizards are fun! I usually get them too, I am that quick! Foster mom thinks this is gross, but then here we go again, I am a dog sooo...
I would need a large fenced in yard at least 4 ft high for me to explore. I guess so I don't get lost either. I am great with stairs, house trained [but not vocal, so watch my cues]. Other things I am good at are....not food aggressive, social with other dogs [all sizes], playing with kids [all ages], sharing toys, free roam, OK with loud noises but not a hunter and taking naps on furniture [couch or chair is fine], I am not fussy.
. My favorite things in the world are....in no specific order...
- LOVE, LOVE, LOVE car rides! [OK, this is my ultimate favorite]. I am the perfect gentleman and sit good, take a nap when I get tired on long rides.
- Ear, back and tummy rubs! When I nuzzle your ear and whisper sweet nothings, you know you have won my heart.

- Laying in the sun outside after playing.

- Once I know where you keep the treats, I will let you know when I want one. I will sit and wait nice for it, even if I have to take a nap waiting for it. Be careful though, if I get too many, my tummy gets upset.
Sooo, long story short, I am a great guy waiting for the perfect home. Could this be your home???
