Hi there! I’m Maddie, a sweet, curious German Shorthaired Pointer ready to find my forever home. Life didn’t start out easy for me, but since joining my foster family, I’ve discovered just how amazing the good life can be! Now, I’m all about cozy cuddles, fun adventures, and lots of love.

I’m fully house-trained and prefer a few trips outside after meals to keep everything on track. I settle into my crate without a fuss, though I really love sleeping in bed with my humans—fair warning, I might take up more than my share of space! I’m polite indoors, not one for counter surfing, but I’m very food-motivated and always curious about what’s on the menu.

When it’s time for a walk, I can get a little excited and pull at first, but I quickly settle into a nice rhythm. I’m quiet overall—I haven’t barked much in my foster home—but I do get very excited when meeting new people. I was an outside dog before, but I’ve fully embraced indoor life now. The couch is my favorite spot, and I insist on being tucked in at night, preferably with a pillow for extra comfort.

I’m super social and love having doggy companions. My foster brothers are my favorite playmates and cuddle buddies, and foster mom says my next home will require another playful dog to keep me company. Fetch is my absolute favorite game—I could play all day if you let me! Sometimes I get so excited that I forget the ball is still in my mouth, but hey, nobody’s perfect, right?

I’m also a curious explorer with a strong nose for adventure. Whether I’m watching squirrels and birds in the yard or investigating my foster mom’s garden, I always find something fascinating to sniff or watch. That said, I can get nervous around loud noises like thunder, fireworks, or busy city streets. A quieter home environment would be ideal for me.
