Meet Ranger – A Gentle Soul with a Brave Heart

This adorable boy recently found himself at a shelter after showing no interest in hunting. Sadly, he also tested positive for heartworm—a serious but treatable condition.

At many shelters, dogs with medical needs face uncertain futures, but Ranger got a second chance when the shelter reached out to GPPR. He’s now settling into his foster home in Omaha, where he’s receiving lots of love and care.

Ranger has already started his pre-treatment medication and will undergo heartworm treatment in the upcoming months. This process is intensive and costly, but it’s the only path to a healthy, happy future for him.
