Hi! I'm Ruth! I was found running as a stray and by the way I was looking, it was obvious I had been searching for food for quite some time. I love being back inside a warm house, just in time for the cold of winter to settle in. I love all the soft, comfy places I can find to lay down in a little ball and to be covered up in a blanket. My foster home has a toddler that I adore and there are many legs to lean on and nuzzle into. They also have two other dogs, a male and a female. I am not too sure about living with another female. The male is nuts but I tolerate him okay. I am protective of my food right now but do well when I am allowed to eat in my kennel so I'm sure no one else will get it. Speaking of my kennel, I LOVE it. You may have to bribe me to get me to come out, especially if I am in the middle of a good nap! When I can, I love to curl up next to my people and seek out a belly rub or two. I know how to sit and I am very polite when someone takes me out to walk on a leash.  I may do best as an only dog. I am located in Des Moines, IA.
