Update 1/3/15: Happy New Year to Wren! she has come such a long way! She has now completed all of her heart worm treatments, runs and gets frisky when she wants to play ball. He balance when playing can still be a little wobbly. She walks well on leash, and loves to hang out in the house with her people. She is low activity. Wren is a very sweet dog and has done well with children 8+. She would be best with older children, since being hit by a car, she can be sore sometimes. She weighs in at 40 lbs. She is on the smaller side and now that has had good nutrients and care, her coat is ultra soft. Wren free roams the home and can be trusted. There have been a couple of occasions when she smelled something tasty in the trash and she decided she would get it out. This was her foster mom's fault. :) She has done great with the other dogs in the home. She may even bloom more as time goes on. Just an all around sweet girl!

Meet Wren! She was hit by a car on the highway and left. Wren suffers some spinal and nerve damage and is also heart worm positive. She is undergoing physical therapy and is making some progress. She will be treated for heart worms at a later date. Right now, it is one day at a time and baby steps. Despite all she has been through, she has not had one accident in the house. She has been nothing but sweet to all who are around her. She can use some well wishes and a sponsor or 2. This little girl is a fighter and we are helping her to fight.

UPDATE: 11/1/14- Wren is doing amazing! She is doing well with physical therapy and is walking, sitting, and doing stairs like a champ! she is on her way to recovery. She loves her cozy dog bed, treats and an occasional bone. She is even beginning to pull a little on leash- a sign she has gained some strength.

UPDATE: 12/7/14- Giddy up, we are running! What progress from struggling to stand up! Wren has completed one round of heart worm treatment and will have her second around 12/27. Her coat has shed out a couple of times, which is a good sign she is healing on the inside. She loves her dog bed, bones and treats and now even takes to a tennis ball. Her spirits are lifting!
