Hi there!  My name is Jaeger!!!!!  Some people might refer to me as a "senior"  but you only act as old as you feel!  I DO NOT act like a senior!  I have experienced a lot in my 10 1/2 years of life and am looking forward to living my fairy tale dream in a great home! 

A little about me...  I lived with my family from the time I was 8 weeks old.  They trained me, loved me, and cared for me 100%.  Then...my life changed.  My mom and dad got a divorce and I became collateral damage.  :(  I was left at a vet clinic and because they had treated me all my life, they set out to find me a great rescue to take care of me.  I am showing my foster family all that I know and all the things that I LOVE!!! 

I currently live with 2 little boys both under the age of 3.  I love them!!!  I am relatively careful to watch where I walk but sometimes they surprise me and I might accidently bump them over.  You know what I mean right??  Sometimes those 2 legged kids just get right under your feet! :)  At any rate, I love those boys...and they love me!  The first time I met the oldest one, I hopped right in his car seat with him. :)  He yells my name "Gay-ger" but I still come running.  I love to play fetch with him too.  He isn't so good at catching the ball yet so that means I can steal it!!!!  :)

I can tell you that I really don't like the kennel....in fact, I cut my ear pretty badly trying to escape from mine!  I love to hang out on the couch, watch the squirrels, and sleep with my other 4 legged buddies, which are girls....which I LOVE!!!!  I like to strut around the house stealing the tennis balls from them...and of course showing my manly strength by DESTROYING THEM!  HE-MAN!!!!!    When you leave, I might bark for a minute but then I calm down.  I know which toys are mine and which toys are the 2 legged crazies!! :)

 I have gained a lot of my weight back (I lost about 20 lbs. at the vet clinic while waiting for my owner to come get me...which never happened).  I am currently taking antibiotics to clear up my lyme disease.  This is my second and hopefully LAST treatment.  Once my antibiotics are done (about mid-February), I can get neutered and get a great home.  NEUTERED?????  WAIT A SECOND..... NOBODY SAID ANYTHING ABOUT NEUTER!!!!!!  Eh....don't use 'em anyway....so no trouble.

 I hope you consider opening your home to me.  I'm a great guy!!! I love to cuddle and sleep under the covers!!!  

Will need a home with other dogs.

 Positives:  house trained, potty trained, great with kids, great with dogs, LOVES playing fetch, cuddler, doesn't act his age, responds to name, loves to keep you warm at night by sleeping under the covers, barks on command, Knows the following commands: Sit, stay, down, drop it, and speak.

 Negatives: (or as Jaeger calls them quirks) - Barks when you leave but only for a short bit, HATES kennels, has a tendency to jump up when excited (but only on adults), might knock younger kids down when playing, sleeps in your toddlers bed during the day :) , sprawls on the couch so only one person can barely fit, and is a chow hound :) Located in Des Moines IA
