WOW!!! Hank is a wonderful young man! Considering his age ( 1 year and 3 months old) , Hank is a very even tempered boy. He needs to gain some weight but once he fills out he will be even more stunning than he already is.
Hank came to GPPR through a shelter where he and 7 ( YES 7) of his siblings were surrendered! He was a part of a litter of 14!!!! Hank had little to no training prior to going to the shelter and was adopted out twice and returned twice. No one cared to invest the little time it took to train him. :( He is incredibly smart! Hank knows sit, give, fetch, outside, and is starting to learn kennel. He is also quite the cuddler!! :) He loves being in the yard pointing squirrels, birds, and rabbits.
He has done wonderfully in his new environment.. He lets us know when he needs to go out by walking to the door. Hank has a wonderful pace and stride when jogging on leash and is learning to walk next to a stroller. :) Hank is kenneled during the day and sleeps on a doggy bed at the foot of the bed at night. He won't budge until the alarm goes off. He will snore if he is tired enough. :)
Hank would do wonderfully in a home with another dog because he loves the companionship from 4 legged and 2 legged buddies. :) Is your home the match for sweet boy Hank?? We hope so...he is truly a wonderful boy!
Hank is a little over a year old. He will require a home with another large dog. He is submissive and very social with other dogs...especially since he came from a litter of 14! :) Hank has shown that he will chase cats and rabbits, so for safety sake, Hank has shown he has a very strong prey drive and wwouldnot be a good dog for a family with a small pet or cat. Hank is located in the Des Moines, IA area.
