Augie is an awesome young pointer boy who we pulled from a small central Oklahoma shelter. The volunteers were sad about his departing and now we can see why. Augie is a great dog! He would thrive in a home with other dogs. Augie is a smart boy! He has learned how to ring a bell to be let outside to use the restroom. Of course, he loves being outside watching the birds, so sometimes he rings the bell just to see what is going on outside.
Augie loves children and wants to play with every dog he meets. He has a very fun-loving nature about him. He has been tested around cats but not lived with them. When tested, Augie allowed the cat to rub up against his face and run off. Augie had no reaction. He also did not actively "hunt" or seek out the cat. He was more interested in playing with the kids, dogs, and people.
Augie is crate trained and loves to share his XL crate with his foster sister. Augie is learning basic commands (sit, give, off, no) and doing great! He truly is a great dog that would make an excellent addition to any family! Looking for a play partner for your current pet??? Augie is your man! :)
