Age: 1.5 years young
Breed: German Shorthaired Pointer (GSP)
Personality: Goofy, sweet-hearted, and a bit bullheaded

 

Hello there! My name is Rosie, and I’m a spirited gal with a heart full of love and a dash of mischief. I currently live with my foster family, which includes three young kids (ages 3, 5, and 7), and I’m proud to say I’m their best buddy! I love playing with them, cuddling up for story time, and yes, sometimes trying to sneak a snack or two. But don’t worry, I always listen when corrected!

My Best Traits:

• Recall Rockstar: I come running when called, especially if there’s a treat involved!
• Car Companion: I ride like a pro, ready for any adventure.
• Potty Pro: Almost fully potty trained, just a few more steps to perfection.
• Quiet as a Mouse: Not much of a barker, so your neighbors will love me too.
• Bath Time Champ: I don’t mind getting squeaky clean.
• Social Butterfly: Friendly with new people and dogs alike.
• Vet Approved: No issues during my initial exam – I was a model patient.
• Nature Explorer: I love hunting bugs, frogs, and birds in the backyard.
• Grounded: Not a jumper, so your counters and tables are safe.
• Beeper Trained: I’m familiar with beeper training, making me a great candidate for further training.

A Few Things I’m Working On:

• Resource Guarding: I had a bit of a tiff with my foster brother over food, but now I eat in a separate room, and we’re best pals. This might happen in a new home until I adjust.
• Crate Training: I didn’t know what a crate was before, but now I go in willingly with a treat. I might bark for a few minutes, but I settle down quickly. Practice makes perfect!

My Story:

I ended up with my foster family because my previous owner fell on hard times. Despite the changes, I’ve adapted well and am ready to find my forever home. My foster mom says I have the typical GSP personality – bursts of energy followed by cozy naps, a goofy demeanor, and a heart full of love.
