Meet Little Lucy, a perfectly pocket - sized package of pointer playfulness. Timid at first in new situations, this lovely lady warms up quickly with love, attention and treats. She was afraid of stairs when she arrived but now scampers up and down with her 3 foster sisters.
She adores children and has been just an absolute love bug with the kids she's met, ages 6 to 14.
Lucy is always ready to play. Besides being with human children, Lucy's favorite things are playing with toys (especially those she can shake or chew) and playing with other dogs. She is a great candidate for doggie day care!
This young lady is just over 3 years old and is house trained. Her spirited nature means she does need a fair amount of activity both for her body and for her mind. If she wants attention she's liable to swipe and abscond with socks, shoes, slippers, pillows, or anything else she can quickly snag and trot off with.
Lucy is not a fan of the kennel. At all. Once she's inside the kennel she settles down to sleep fairly quickly, but she literally puts her foot down (and her brakes on) when it's time to get into the kennel. Treats do help.
At night she'll curl right up into you as you sleep, if you'll let her! Lucy is being fostered in the central Iowa area.
