Hi there! I'm June. I'm a big pointer-mix with lots of energy and a little bit of baggage from some past experiences. I'm about a year old. I am a sweet, loving, kissy-face girl who will need a quiet home and a new family with a lot of patience. I was abused in my former home and even though I really want to trust people, I'm a little apprehensive when first meeting people, especially men (I'm working on that, with lots of success so far). I am doing very well in my foster home and have shown I can overcome my fears with lots of love and gentle guidance. Luckily, I'm very eager to please and I wiggle with delight when I receive praise for a job well done. Snuggling and getting belly rubs are some of my favorite things. I am potty-trained and I know some basic obedience commands. I am a very strong girl and I pull hard on a lead (We are working on that, too). I can't be trusted around cats and I am a pro at knocking small kids right off their feet so I'll be looking for a home that doesn't have either of those. I like other dogs but between my youthful exuberance and big size I can easily overwhelm them. I go in my crate without a fuss, ride nice in the car, and like to snoop  around the house looking for trouble whenever possible. I will be a bit of a project for my adoptive family, as it will take some time, patience, and training to help me be a trusting and well-mannered girl. I am being fostered in Minnesota.
