Here is your Hank Jr. Update!! Wow, what an active first week with him. He has obviously lived indoors and loves being with people and other dogs. He is curious, smart as a whip and not afraid to snag things off the counter and dash out the dog door with them. Jumping on people when excited is another issue we are working on. He will need obedience training and direction. He gets along well with the resident dogs and takes correction from them when his "puppiness" gets overwhelming.  

We had his left front leg examined by the vet this week. Prior to coming into rescue he was hit by a car and broke his left front leg. The cast was removed approx two weeks before he came into our care. The exam shows some muscle atrophy from immobilization, he favors it some of the time, but it does not slow him down. The healing of the leg is considered "as is". He may always favor it, although we are hopeful with use it will not bother him.

He is located in central NE.
