Hello my name is Dixie and this is my story.  I was an owner surrender because I barked too much at delivery trucks that would come to my home. My owner was concerned that I was scaring them away but I never showed aggression. Now that I am in my foster home with other dogs like me I have learned that I don't have to bark at visitors. Don't get me wrong, I did bark at my foster mom's friend but I was simply letting my foster mom know that someone was in the house! I was in my crate and I couldn't see my foster mom. I am a very happy girl who craves attention. My favorite thing in the world is to give hugs, yes HUGS! I am very good with other dogs but don't  like to play much. I would rather hang out with my humans and steal all the attention and pettings.  I will chase a ball or a stick but then I like to do zoomies in the yard instead of bringing it back to you. I am very good off leash and love to go on walks looking for birds. I will point at birds or flush them but I am not a hunter as the noise from the gun scares me. If you are searching for an all-around great dog with good manners that loves attention I am the dog for you and I am ready for my forever home. I am being fostered in Wisconsin.
